ShiPan Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the ShiPan app. ShiPan is a local BaZi calculation and case-record tool designed for practitioners of traditional Chinese metaphysics. It works without an account.

ShiPan does not collect analytics, personal information, account data, case data, birth details, annotations, or usage data. We do not run ads or embed tracking SDKs.

Case names or references, birth dates and times, time zones, birth places, longitude values, tags, case summaries, calculation rules, chart snapshots, annotations, and app preferences are stored locally on your device.

ShiPan can prepare a text case archive when you choose to export. The iOS share sheet then lets you select a destination. ShiPan does not automatically upload exported content to AnyMK or any third-party service. Once you share or save a file outside the app, the selected destination handles that copy under its own terms and privacy practices.

ShiPan can also create a complete local backup containing cases, calculation revisions, chart snapshots, and annotations. A backup is written only to a location you select through the iOS document picker. Import reads only a file you select, validates it locally, and asks for confirmation before replacing local app data. Backup files are not uploaded to AnyMK.

ShiPan includes a pinned version of the open-source LunarSwift calendar library for on-device calendar calculations. This dependency does not add account, advertising, analytics, tracking, or remote data services to ShiPan.

If you enter information about a client or another person, you are responsible for obtaining any permission required in your jurisdiction and for protecting the device and exported files against unauthorized access.

ShiPan provides calculation and record-keeping tools for traditional cultural practice. It does not guarantee predictions and does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice.

ShiPan does not sell, transmit, or share your app data with AnyMK or third parties. User-initiated text exports and backup files are controlled through iOS system panels as described above.

ShiPan is intended for professional and research use and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users.

If we make material changes to how ShiPan handles data, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date.
