Hanzi Grove Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to Hanzi Grove, a children's Chinese reading and character practice app. Hanzi Grove works without an account and is designed to keep learning data on the device.

Hanzi Grove does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, contact information, account data, precise location, photos, recordings, or usage data. We do not run ads or embed third-party tracking SDKs.

A parent may create up to three local child profiles with a nickname, age, and starting reading level. These details, answers, mastered characters, story history, and weekly activity remain on the device and are not transmitted to AnyMK or third parties.

Optional subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple processes payment information. Hanzi Grove checks the on-device StoreKit entitlement needed to unlock membership features, but AnyMK does not receive or store payment card details or a child's learning data.

Story and character read-aloud uses the operating system's speech synthesizer. Hanzi Grove does not record or upload the child's voice. Optional daily reminders use local notification permission and are scheduled on the device.

Hanzi Grove does not sell, transmit, or share child profile information or learning progress with AnyMK, advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

A parent can reset a child's learning progress or remove a local child profile from the Grown-ups area. Deleting the app also removes its locally stored learning data.

Privacy and support links are available only in the Grown-ups area. Opening one leaves the app and is initiated by the parent.

If we make material changes to how Hanzi Grove handles data, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date.
